Nicole Lubbers - Beyond

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country.
Her work is characterized by an innovative and quirky approach to abstract art, where painting, relief and sculptural elements come together. With rich colors, layered textures and diverse materials, she creates powerful works around themes such as resilience, movement, strength and transformation.
Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was announced Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro, and placed second at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. Additionally, she was ranked among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as a Master in Art.
Internationally, her work has been shown and is planned for exhibitions in, among others, New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.
A particular highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole, together with artist Michael Lam, presents the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Here Lam’s flowing Single Stroke Painting and Lubbers’ expressive, layered structures meet each other. The color purple forms the connecting thread between the two different artistic languages and symbolizes creativity, spirituality and transformation.
Nicole Lubbers' work is more than decoration. Her compositions invite reflection on perseverance, growth and overcoming challenges. Each piece makes a powerful and tangible statement that lends character, energy and uniqueness to a space.
In addition to her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a doll maker. Her artworks are delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
