Description from the seller
this red
120 x 130 cm
This red does not stand for anything in particular.
It is simply there – as tension, as interruption, as a moment of presence.
Surrounded by many colors, it asserts itself without shouting.
It holds the painting together and at the same time brings unrest inside.
A red section that stops the eye before it wanders on.
The painting lives on the juxtaposition: density and openness, movement and stillness.
And in the middle of it this red – as an emotional core, not as an explanation.

About me:
"My painting moves at the border between figuration and abstraction - a tension-charged dialogue of expressive gesture, intense color worlds and intuitive dynamics.
Inspired by the energy of abstract expressionism, which moves between body and dissolution, chaos and harmony."
Each work is a process of questioning and rediscovery:
Lines break through surfaces.
Figures appear and disappear again.
An emotionally charged dance between control and letting go."
Mila Veljac'a is a visual artist from Croatia. She studied at art academies in Croatia, Vienna, Salzburg and Stuttgart and for several years shared her expertise as a lecturer in visual arts.
