“ARCHEMISIO” is a contemporary painter renowned for his hyperrealist oil-on-canvas works, where photographic precision blends with the dramatic lighting typical of Caravaggio. Growing up on the streets of Rome, he was fascinated from a young age by the Baroque masterpieces displayed in the city’s churches and museums, developing a passion for the contrast between light and shadow and for the emotional intensity of the figures.
After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Archemisio traveled across Europe and the United States, refining his hyperrealist technique through the study of modern artists. However, his style is distinguished by a Caravaggesque heritage: his works capture meticulous details (from skin wrinkles to reflections on an object) yet are bathed in a theatrical, directional light that sculpts volumes and creates an atmosphere rich in symbolism.
