Elegant French opaline glass flacon from the Charles X period (circa 1820–1830), ivory body with gilt arabesques and horizontal gold bands, clear stopper possibly a later replacement, height 16.7 cm, top diameter 4.3 cm, base diameter 5.5 cm, circumference 27 cm, in good antique condition with age-related wear to the gilding and light surface marks.
Description from the seller
Elegant French opaline glass flacon from the Charles X period, circa 1820–1830.
Its softly luminous ivory body features a graceful pear-shaped silhouette, decorated with finely painted gilt arabesques and delicate horizontal gold bands. Small bubbles and irregularities are characteristic of early hand-crafted glass.
Presented in good antique condition, with visible age-related wear to the gilding and light surface marks. The clear glass stopper may be a later replacement.
