The Green Jar presents an articulated courtyard around a pool, where architecture, vegetation and water are integrated through an intense chromatic construction. A succession of columns, walls in warm tones and a blue staircase guide the gaze toward a dark opening at the back, while pots and vertical trees introduce organic elements within the geometry of the space. In the foreground, a green jar stands out over the edge of the pool and gives the work its title.

The composition is built through the contrast between the oranges of the architecture and the wide blue surface of the water, which occupies a large part of the canvas. The fragmented reflections of columns, plants and surrounding forms transform the pool into an autonomous pictorial surface, constructed with brushstrokes of blue, green, red and white. Depth arises from the succession of planes and the small central staircase, which functions as a visual axis and leads into the interior of the architecture.

The Green Jar is part of Mar Legón's research on pools, courtyards and open architectures, spaces in which the relationship between color, light and vegetation allows recognizable settings to be transformed into compositions with a strong visual identity. The presence of the jar also introduces a everyday element that breaks the architectural monumentalism and establishes a focal point within the whole.

Created entirely by hand in 2026, this unique piece gathers elements recurring in the artist's recent production: intense colors, simplified perspectives, large chromatic surfaces and an expressive treatment of reflections. The dialogue between classical architecture, vegetation and water constructs an image in which order and spontaneity coexist, turning the depicted space into an essentially pictorial experience.

Mar Legón develops a painting practice focused on reinterpreting landscapes, interiors, still lifes and figurative scenes through a visual language based on color, formal synthesis and atmosphere construction.

Her work transforms spaces and recognizable motifs into images of strong visual intensity, where reality is simplified and reorganized to give rise to scenes that oscillate between memory, imagination and contemplation.

PACKAGING AND AUTHENTICITY

The work is offered directly by Mar Legón and includes a certificate signed by the artist. The painting (unframed) will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube to ensure its proper conservation during transport. After payment is confirmed, a maximum of three business days is required to prepare the work before shipment. The delivery time varies according to destination, with an estimated window of up to ten business days, depending on the shipping company chosen by the buyer.
