Napoleon III style French bookcase in ebonized oak with gilt bronze fittings and a natural leather top, dating to the late 19th century, with dimensions 100 × 166 × 60 cm and in good condition with minor signs of wear.

Napoleon III bookcase. French, from the Napoleonic III period, made of ebonized oak, in the second half of the 19th century. Rectangular body with sober lines, featuring two drawers at the waist and an open compartment with two shelves for storing books or decorative objects. Richly ornamented with gilded bronze applications, highlighted by female figures in relief mounted on the side uprights, framed by scrolls and exuberant vegetal motifs. Corner columns with fluting and gilded accents. Top covered in natural leather, finished with a raised molding. A piece of excellent quality, representative of French furniture of the Second Empire, combining functionality and decorative splendor. Dimensions: 100 × 166 × 60 cm. Condition: Shows signs of use compatible with antiquity, namely wear to the ebonizing, small marks of use and aging of the leather on the top. Original and complete bronzes.
