The bare trees, rendered with thin vertical brushstrokes, frame the composition creating depth, while the warm tones of the earth contrast with the pale, veiled sky.

The subject — a pastoral landscape with farmhouses and reflections of water on the beaten earth — belongs to the tradition of Italian decorative landscape painting, very widespread in the domestic collectors market between the 1970s and 1990s.
