Savonnerie Maubert Paris - Sign - Wood, cardboard

Original lithograph on cardboard for advertising by the Parisian soap and perfume manufacturer Maubert. This maker of soap and perfume was renowned in the period 1890-1910, and advertisements were hung in shops in frames. This advertisement is still in its original frame from that era. The print is in poorer condition. The colors are somewhat faded and there are scratches, stains, and tears. Yet this is a true treasure for collectors because these cardboard signs are rare. They disappeared over the years and were discarded. 51 x 64 cm.
