An impressive and elaborate late Victorian sterling silver tray, crafted in Birmingham in 1900 by Henry Matthews.
The piece features heavy repoussé work across the entire surface, centered around a mythological god mask set beneath an unengraved central cartouche.
The body is rich with scrollwork, floral motifs, and trellis latticework, framed by elevated sides made with pierced floral openwork.
