Born in 1974 I am self-taught.
After an early period devoted to sculpture there was a long pause lasting almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I have resumed with the “two dimensions” for reasons of time and space, leaving sculpture aside and dedicating myself to creating acrylic paintings.
I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I have been pushing myself to also paint faces of people, both imaginary and real.
For me painting is "freezing time" at that exact moment; my painting is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "worn, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are angles of walls, also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that over time grow on the surface.
Time passing inexorably is the main theme of my works.
Coming from a beautiful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch, and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs that are clearly perceptible by touch and to the naked eye.
