Where Silence Breaks
Acrylic on canvas - 72 x 98 x 0.1 cm
Certificate of authenticity with date and authentic signature on the back of the canvas.
The painting will be shipped rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube.
Speditions to non-EU countries are not accepted due to excessive costs.
WHERE SILENCE BREAKS - A powerful gesture traverses the material and breaks the apparent quiet.
Black marks the plane and divides, the circle gathers and recomposes.
Against the force of contrast stands the breath of color, between silence and movement, matter and sign.
An instinctive, unrepeatable balance.
PAOLO CONTIN has developed a personal artistic journey for over twenty-five years, in constant evolution. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he transfers to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.
Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. This has been followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
Paolo Contin’s artistic path is also documented by his presence in the Arts Mondadori Catalog with related valuations. Over the years his works have also been published in the Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo exhibitions and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.
He was also among the founding members of “Tostart,” an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active up to the pandemic period.
An eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, blocks, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement, and emotion.
Experimentation extends to sculpture and wood as well, with works built through the overlapping of geometric elements, confirming a research that goes beyond the confines of painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without preset formulas: each work arises from the desire to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity.
