Nicole Lubbers - Shy XL

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and independent approach to art and works with a variety of techniques and materials. In her work, color, movement, expression, and emotion play a significant role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation, and overcoming challenges regularly inspire her creations.

Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was proclaimed Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro, and secured second place at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also listed among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as Master in Art.

Internationally, her work has been shown and is planned for exhibitions in cities including New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A notable highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole collaborates with artist Michael Lam to present the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together here to form a joint dialogue about movement, color, creativity, and transformation.

Mixed technique – digitally created artwork, hand-painted

This artwork is executed in a mixed technique. The base is a digitally created painting that is printed on canvas and then hand-painted and finished by Nicole Lubbers. Digital art and traditional painting merge in a single artwork.

This particular piece contains no relief or sculptural elements. The strength lies in the image composition, the colors, and the combination of the digital base with the hand-painted finish.

Delivery

The artwork will be delivered unframed and without a stretch frame. You will receive it rolled on canvas. This allows you to decide for yourself how you want to present the work upon receipt. For example, you can have the canvas stretched on a stretch frame by a framer and, if desired, have it framed.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a doll maker. The artwork is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
