Nicole Lubbers - TO Know XL

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and idiosyncratic approach to art and works with various techniques and materials. In her work, color, movement, expression, and emotion play a central role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation, and overcoming challenges regularly inspire her creations.

Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was named Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro, and achieved second place at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also included among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as a Master in Art.

Internationally, her work has been exhibited and planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China, and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A notable highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole presents, together with artist Michael Lam, the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together here and form a joint dialogue around movement, color, creativity, and transformation.

Mixed technique – digitally created artwork, hand-painted

This artwork is executed in a mixed technique. The base is a digitally created painting that is printed on canvas and then hand-painted and further finished by Nicole Lubbers. Digital art and traditional painting thus come together in a single artwork.

This specific work contains no relief or sculptural elements. The strength lies precisely in the image composition, the colors, and the combination of the digital base with the hand-painted finish.

Delivery

The artwork is delivered unframed and without a stretcher, rolled up on a canvas. This allows you to decide how you want to present the work after receipt. For example, you can have the canvas stretched by a framer onto a stretcher frame and, if desired, framed.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a doll maker. The artwork is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
