AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Gino was an Italian-American soldier sent out to serve at one of the NATO bases in Limburg, The Netherlands. This was during the middle of the 1960's. My grandparents occasionally invited soldiers over that were unable to return to their stateside families over the holidays. Charles Eyck was a friend of the family, and so they met at one of these holiday dinners. The story goes that mr. Eyck was struck by Gino's striking looks, and asked if he could make a portrait. Gino reluctantly agreed but did not feel comfortable keeping the drawing. As such it ended up in my grandparents home, before being handed down to my father and ultimately myself. Unfortunately we don't have the space for these wonderful drawings, so I'm hoping to pass them on to someone who can provide a more deserving place.

Frame material: brushed bronze-coloured metal and glass.
Frame size: 85*73cm
Drawing size: 62*47cm
