Description from the seller

Transitional Pendant-to-Wrist Watch (Anonymous, circa 1890–1910)

Brand history:
Secret Swiss production under the late 19th and early 20th century établissage system, a period in which the rough-cut workshops supplied calibers without commercial markings for local assembly or generic marketing.
Representative example of the transitional typology, consisting of the morophological re-adaptation of small pocket or pendant watches for wrist use through the hand-welded fixed lugs.

Aesthetic description:
Case: Gunmetal-toned plated metal case with a bezel, crown, and contrast elements in gold tone; it features soldered thread lugs and a lateral setting push-button (pin-set). Dimensions: 33.62 mm in diameter and a weight of 27.63 g.
Dial: White enamel dial with multicolored floral motifs at the center, black Roman numerals for the hour markers, and an exterior Arabic minute scale in fives. Seconds sub-dial is absent.
Hands: Gold hands in the Louis XV style.

Technical and mechanical description:
Movement: Manual-wind mechanical calibre with straight-bridge architecture and cylinder escapement.
Setting system: Hour-setting via lateral push-button (pin-set) integrated with the case band, operated simultaneously with the crown.
Regulation: Rack system with engraving in French ("AVANCE" and "RETARDE").

Rarities and historical value:
Historical interest as a material document of the typological transition toward civilian wristwatches, combined with an ornamental floral design aimed at the female public of the era.

Condition:
Shows surface wear and partial loss of the pavonado coating on the case, while the enamel dial remains intact. The mechanism runs well, though it would benefit from a service for optimal precision.
