Le Yack’s Esso vintage - Hand signed is a 40 × 40 cm giclée on canvas, a edition limited to 20 copies, signed by the artist on the front and back, with a certificate of authenticity, produced in France, dating from 2020 or later.
Description from the seller
Esso gas station by the edge of the Mediterranean, under a blue canopy and a azure sky: a vintage gasoline pump with a red and white globe, its odometers in francs, stands beside a sleek midnight-blue 1960s coupe with gleaming chrome, registered “91-85 CD 13.” On the right, a brunette woman in a mauve dress with a full skirt, heels, and black sunglasses stands with her hands behind her back, gazing out to sea. Behind her, the sea in deep cobalt blue and a rocky coastline close the horizon. Semiotically, the scene plays on the contrast between the prosaic and the refined: the mundane fuel stop elevated by the elegance of the woman and the coupe’s lines, all bathed in bright Meridional light. The mauve of the dress adds a rare and delicate note to a palette of saturated blues and chalky whites. Smooth finish, clear shadows, solar precisionism.
