The Long Goodbye Suite - Hand signed is a 40 by 40 cm giclée on canvas by Le Yack (Alexandre Pelletier), edition limited to 20, signed by the artist, produced in France after 2020, in good condition and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Bright apartment with high sash windows, cream walls saturated with a milky light that bleaches the edges. Reposing in a mid-century Scandinavian armchair with a teak frame and olive green cushions, a brunette woman with short hair wears a wide, loose white men's shirt, from which a loose Scottish tie hangs; legs crossed, bare feet, she glances at the viewer with assured nonchalance. Behind her, an olive green sofa runs along the bay window. Semiotically, the male wardrobe worn directly on the skin performs a classic displacement of the iconography of desire: borrowing, the next day, the ironic appropriation of the other’s attributes. The entire palette — cream, olive, sage, warm wood — is a dull chord illuminated only by the whiteness of the shirt. The window’s overexposed light erases the urban landscape and closes the scene in on its intimacy. Fluid technique, soft smudges, atmosphere of late morning.
