Description from the seller

ABOUT THE WORK

The Healing focuses on an intimate, almost ritual moment of recovery. The male figure, with eyes closed, withdraws into himself, at that point where respiration, calm, and a certain emotional tension coexist. The skin is modeled with glazes and layers that mix turquoises, purples, and ochres, creating a light that does not come from outside but seems to arise from the body itself.

The brushwork, especially in the beard and hair, is dense and gestural, adding texture and true presence. The background is softly blurred to keep the focus on the face, where everything happens: the pause, the repair, the silent opening that the title suggests.

A contemporary, direct and atmospheric work that combines strength and vulnerability with great chromatic sensitivity: presence, truth, and living painting.

Includes certificate of authenticity.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Born in Madrid, I spent 20 years combining my passion for art and computing as an art director in the video game industry, gaining international recognition.

My career as a visual artist began in 2022, using painting as a cathartic medium to overcome physical and emotional pain. Since then, color, abstraction, and masculine anatomy have been pillars of my work. I explore the male body from a homoerotic perspective and turn to abstraction to express deep emotions, experiences, and internal states that words cannot convey. My constant search for new techniques and materials reflects my restlessness to go beyond visual boundaries, allowing each work to remain open to interpretation and to the personal connection of each viewer.

Today, several of my pieces are part of private collections in cities around the world, including Madrid, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Milan, Los Angeles, and Washington.
