Description
A figurative work of marked intimate character featuring a nude female figure withdrawn onto herself, emerging from a completely dark background. The composition is built almost exclusively through a range of whites, grays, and blacks, creating a powerful chiaroscuro effect.
The figure occupies a large part of the pictorial space and stands out for the treatment of light on the body. The illuminated areas contrast with the deep shadows surrounding it, generating a sense of volume and depth and giving the figure an almost sculptural appearance.
The pose conveys withdrawal, stillness, and vulnerability, while the black background eliminates any spatial reference and concentrates all attention on the human form. This absence of secondary elements adds a mysterious and contemplative atmosphere to the work.

Alejandro Carballosa, Cuban visual artist and designer residing in Spain, with a career marked by the exploration of strength, emotion, and beauty in the animal and human figure. His work combines technical realism with a contemporary vision, where color, light, and movement acquire a symbolic and expressive language.
Trained in visual arts and design, he integrates the aesthetic sensitivity of classical art with modern resources, creating pieces that balance energy and introspection.
