AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Unique and original work hand-painted by Raphaël Monnet

Raphaël Monnet develops a contemporary abstract painting in which color becomes material, rhythm, and movement.

He approaches the canvas as a space of experimentation. The painting is projected, accumulated, and confronted with opposing colors. The impacts cross, some areas densify while others allow the background to breathe.

His process does not rely on a pre-planned image, but on a progressive construction. Each intervention leads to the next until an equilibrium emerges between apparent disorder and pictorial organization.

Based in the Léo Varek studio in France, Raphaël Monnet continues his research into the projection and superposition of colors. His works have an immediate presence from afar and reveal, when approached, a multitude of details, nuances, and unexpected encounters between pigments.

Each canvas results from a unique process. The trajectory of the projections, the distribution of matter, and the interactions between colors can never be reproduced identically.

Details of the work

Format and presentation

The indicated dimensions correspond to the total size of the canvas. A painted peripheral section is intended to be folded over the sides of the frame, without encroaching on the main composition.

Some images show the work staged to facilitate its projection in an interior. Proportions may slightly vary depending on the setups. Please refer to the dimensions indicated in the description to know the actual size of the work.

The edges are partially painted and allow a clean finish after mounting.

Shipping

The work is shipped rolled in rigid protective packaging, without a frame or stretcher.

Slight creases may appear on receipt. This is perfectly normal for a canvas shipped rolled. These marks disappear naturally when tensioned.

For optimal results, it is recommended to have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer.

Shipments are carried out by express carrier — DHL, FedEx or equivalent — with careful tracking until delivery.

Some particular destinations may incur additional shipping charges beyond my control. In that case, the buyer will be informed before shipment to adjust the fees if necessary. Without approval of these fees, shipment cannot be carried out.

Additional information

Colors may vary slightly depending on screen settings and shooting conditions.
Frames and stretcher not included.
