Authentic Viking Age Silver/Bronze Thor's Hammer (Mjöllnir) with Punched Decoration.
A fine example of a Viking amulet representing Mjöllnir. This piece features the characteristic flared head and is meticulously decorated with hand-punched triangular patterns, a traditional Norse decorative technique.
The item shows an attractive dark patina consistent with age and burial. Intact and wearable.
In Norse mythology, Mjöllnir was Thor's primary weapon to defend Asgard. These amulets were worn as symbols of protection and ritual consecration during the Viking Age (9th-11th Century AD).
Circa 9th-11th. century AD.
Measurements: w: 5.78g.
