Voltaire: Complete Works. In Paris, at Lefèvre and Deterville, Booksellers, 1818. 42/42 (complete in 42 volumes).
Between 400 pp. and 550 pp./volume, or about 19,740 pages for the entire work. 21x13 cm, 33 kg (packaging included). Shipped in 2 parcels (20 kg + 13 kg) or pickup on site.
Binding (publisher, period) half brown morocco (demi-basane) light brown, smooth spine with gilt fillets and tailpieces, boards covered with marbled paper. Handling wear and use-related wear (not serious) on the binding; interior satisfactory.
In the frontispiece of Vol. 1 the Portrait (serpentine) of Voltaire, painted by Delatour in 1736 and engraved by L. Petit in 1818. Volume 19 concerns 'Physics'; it is complete with the two folding plates at the end. Volume 42, the last, is the General and Analytical Index by P.A.M. Miger.
