Limited Art Edition (smaller edition) of the official denim artwork "Ayrton Senna Sempre" by the British artist Ian Berry. Dimensions of 72 x 93 cm, including the denim frame. This is the numbered edition 1912 of a limited run of 1960 pieces.
The 1960 refers to the birth year of the driver. The artwork was released in memory of the twentieth anniversary of the Formula 1 driver. Senna crashed on Sunday, May 1, 1994, during the San Marino Grand Prix at the Imola circuit. In his homeland Brazil, three days of national mourning were declared and his funeral was broadcast live around the world.
Ayrton Senna da Silva was a highly successful Brazilian racing driver who, over a span of ten seasons, became a three-time Formula One World Champion. He started in 161 races, securing 65 poles and 41 wins.
