The nature of the technique I use makes every piece in the series a unique and unrepeating work. The dimensions and the texture of the final piece may differ slightly from the photos and the declared measurements.
The work consists of a pyramidal prism, interrupted three-quarters by a hollow portion. I consider this work a vindication of the Self against the perils of existence, but also an innate longing upward. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter that becomes spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the ascent of the form toward the summit is characterized as a set of parts that, unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences.
