Dial and Hands

The printed text remains fully intact with no visible loss, and there is no visible spotting, staining, or moisture damage. The matching black stick hands are in stunning condition, showing a clean finish with no visible oxidation, complementing the dial perfectly.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel front-loading monocoque case is a well-preserved example of classic dress watch geometry. A thin, polished bezel is integrated into the design, exhibiting only light handling marks. The watch is fitted with a clearly signed Omega crown featuring well-defined knurling. The domed acrylic crystal is clear, with no significant scratches, crazing, or chips visible. The caseback bears the 'TOOL 104' marking, indicating the front-loading construction.
Movement
The watch is powered by a mechanical movement housed securely within the front-loading case. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher records a rate of +7+10s/day.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring contrasting white stitching. The strap appears to be in new or very lightly used condition, offering an attractive presentation that complements the dial beautifully.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The silver sunburst dial and black stick hands are remarkably pristine. The stainless steel case exhibits only light, superficial scratches consistent with careful wear, and the acrylic crystal is clear. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly.
Dimensions
The case measures 33 mm in diameter, excluding the crown.
Remarks
This Omega De Ville stands out for its exceptionally clean dial and sharp, minimalist aesthetic. The combination of the front-loading monocoque case and the striking black-on-silver layout makes it a highly attractive vintage dress watch.
History
The Omega De Ville line emerged as a standalone collection in the late 1960s, having originally been part of the Seamaster family. Designed to offer a more refined and elegant alternative to Omega's robust sports models, the De Ville quickly became celebrated for its elegant aesthetic and slim profile. During the 1970s, Omega utilized innovative case designs, including monocoque constructions, to protect their movements while maintaining sleek, dress-oriented proportions. This era of the De Ville remains highly appreciated by collectors for its pure, uncluttered approach to traditional watchmaking.
