Marqués de Riscal Reserva 2020, a Rioja Alavesa wine by Marqués de Riscal, 2020 vintage, in magnum bottles (1.5 L) with six bottles total, produced from Tempranillo and a touch of Graciano, aged 24 months in American oak and refined in bottle for at least one year.
Description from the seller
Marqués de Riscal Reserva 2020 is made with Tempranillo complemented with a touch of Graciano. The grapes come from old vines, planted before the 70s, located in the best calcareous clay soils of the Rioja Alavesa. A historic reserve from a prestigious, recognized and classic winery, perfectly adapted to new times. It has a long aging of 24 months in American oak barrels and a minimum refining period in the bottle of one year. Now it is in a great moment of consumption.
Surely, for many, their inclination for Rioja began with a good bottle of Marqués de Riscal. We are talking about a heavyweight and one of the brands most recognized by the general public. Founded in 1858, its history is full of merits: it was a pioneer in producing quality wines in Rioja following the Bordeaux style and methods and has led an excellent transition to our types with a range of very well positioned wines.
Marqués de Riscal Reserva 2020 pairs well with ham, semi-cured cheeses, stews with not very spicy sauces, cooked or stewed legumes, poultry, red meats, grilled meats and roasts.
