Description from the seller
Oil on canvas by Marcel Abougit (1886-1955), a French painter, depicting an important bouquet of flowers in a glass vase.
The work is signed “Marcel Abougit” at the lower right.
The stretcher also bears on the back an old handwritten pencil inscription mentioning the artist’s name as well as his address: “Marcel Abougit – 189 rue Ordener – Paris 18th.” This address corresponds to the Cité des Artistes de Montmartre, where Marcel Abougit had his studio.
