The large, finely shaped cup is decorated with an atmospheric hand-painted panoramic landscape depicting a country residence, gardens, mature trees, figures, and a glasshouse or orangery.
The detailed scene continues around the body and is framed by rich gilding.
Ornamental gilt panels decorate both sides of the handle, while the flared rim, pedestal foot and interior are also highlighted in gold.
The underside bears the F.A. Schumann Moabit Berlin factory mark.
