ORA VIENNE (MCMV) presents La Dame à l'Éventail de Paon, an original 2026 mixed-media painting on canvas (50 x 40 cm) combining acrylic, gold leaf and digital painting, hand-signed with a certificate of authenticity, produced in France and offered by Galerie.
Description from the seller
ORA VIENNE, Mixed techniques, Acrylic painting, Gold leaf · Digital painting · Hand-signed · 2026
She stands, slightly three-quarters, her head turned toward a light we cannot see. The right hand holds a closed fan at three-quarters, dark, veined like a wing; the left rises toward the throat and holds a long gold chain that descends in a double loop to the waist. The dress is made of feathers: a peacock blue almost electric at the shoulders, darkening toward the hem in thick, striated acrylic strokes still visible in relief. The bare shoulders emerge from a deep corset, the skin taking on a pearlescent glow against the background. Behind her, the gold leaf fills the entire field: on the right, long peacock feathers engraved in gold, each eye highlighted in blue and green; on the left, a checkerboard of spirals, disks and black rectangles, gold and lacquer. The gold is deliberately lacunar, flaky, allowing ivory plaques to breathe. At the bottom right, a small light cartouche bears the workshop’s painted monogram. The work celebrates ornament as a adornment of feminine power, in direct lineage of the Viennese Secession, Klimt and the Byzantine gold grounds that Art Nouveau revisited.
Technique mixte: acrylic painting and gold leaf on an ink-pigmented print, matte varnish spray.
Gold leaf and varnish applied by hand, for the brilliance of the golds and the durable protection of the work.
Support: premium canvas stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang.
Format: 50 x 40 cm.
Signed ORA VIENNE · Galerie Labo Joconde / Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided.
ORA VIENNE is one of the creations bringing together artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop and free figuration. Under the name ORA VIENNE, the gold of Vienna, the Atelier explores the vein of the Viennese Secession and Klimt’s golden age: golden mosaics, sensuality of flesh, impasto and hand-placed gold leaf.
ORA VIENNE gathers figures of women seized in frames of gold and darkness, sovereigns, lovers or dreamers, where the living body converses with the timeless shine of precious metal. The throughline: a bridge between symbolic and Art Nouveau heritage and a contemporary gaze, where painting material and gold leaf enhance and transfigure the printed image.
Each work is a unique piece.
