Mara. J XXL - Nightfall

A deep blue occupies the entire surface, from the bright cobalt of the upper part to the ultramarine almost black gathering at the bottom. Among the layers emerge barely perceptible leaves, pressed into the material like shapes held back by shadow, and small points of pale light light up here and there like nocturnal pollen suspended in the air. Thin vertical stems cross the field of color, barely visible, as if the vegetation kept growing even in the dark. The painting is dense and velvety, built up with successive glazes that reveal an unfathomable depth. It is night seen from inside a garden, when colors withdraw and only the breath of the plants remains.
