Description
Composition 222 explores landscape as a shifting space between memory and perception. Layers of muted earth tones, luminous passages and gestural marks dissolve the boundaries between recognizable scenery and abstraction.
Rather than depicting a specific place, the painting evokes the sensation of landscape: changing light, distance, atmosphere and fragmented memory. Dense dark forms contrast with open areas of light, creating a rhythm that draws the eye through an imagined terrain.
The work belongs to a series in which natural forms are transformed into colour, texture and movement, creating landscapes that feel both familiar and elusive, suspended between observation and imagination.
