AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Blue is one of the most popular colors on the planet, it is an emotional color also associated with calm, intelligence and sensibility. In this work, I used acrylic paint to create a minimalist style that evokes a sense of peace and introspection. This painting invites the viewer to delve into their own inner world, bringing a serene yet profound energy to any space it inhabits.

Seller's Story

Working from her studio in Germany, Elena Mosurak’s painting practice is an investigation into colour and facture. In the beginning, her paintings were rooted in realism, but she continues to experiment with new techniques, styles, and materials. Since 2010, her work has evolved from traditional still lifes and landscapes to abstractions and semi-abstractions that allow viewers to develop their own interpretations through a contemplative process. In some of her paintings, she likes to enrich the representation by adding textural effects, using acrylic colors, gesso, and structure paste with sand. This technique enables her to bring depth and tension to the painting, creating contrasts—smooth and grainy, fine and coarse, matte and shiny, light and shadow—it brings gracefulness and balance to the artworks. These additional sensory aspects help viewers embrace not only the visual but also tactile perception in their experience, to ‘play’ with the painting and perhaps imagine what is not even there. Artworks are in corporate and private collections in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Cyprus, China, Germany, Greece, France, Finland, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK, USA. Exhibitions: 2022 - URBANSIDE Gallery, Zurich, Switzerland 2021 - Solo exhibition "Light at the end of the tunnel." Opera Academy, Henfenfeld Castle, Germany. 2021 - SWISS ART EXPO 2021 with Artbox Projects Zurich, Switzerland. 2020 - "309 DAYS IN (57 TO GO)" Group exhibition.
