"Encore un Instant" suspends a moment of charged stillness inside a grand Parisian salon, where the last embers of a dying fire measure the only time that matters.
At the centre of the composition, a man sits in an ornate gilded armchair upholstered in deep burgundy velvet, visible only from the chest down, his face and identity belonging to another painting. He wears a dark tailored suit and white shirt, open at the collar. A crystal glass of whisky rests in one hand. His posture is unhurried, his legs apart, his presence the fixed vertical axis around which the entire composition revolves.
At his feet, two young women kneel nude on the herringbone parquet floor. The dark-haired woman on his left is curled close, her head resting against his arm, her hand gripping the sleeve of his jacket, her brow softly furrowed, her whole body folded inward as if holding on to something she knows is about to end. The auburn-haired woman on his right presses her cheek against his knee, her eyes closed, one hand resting on his shoe, the other curled against his ankle, her bare back catching the warm glow of the fireplace, every line of her body curved toward him in quiet surrender.
Their nudity is total and unselfconscious, the organic state of two women who have given everything and now ask for the only thing they cannot take. They do not perform. They do not seduce. They hold on. The title lives in their fingers: encore un instant. One more moment. Not forever. Just a little longer.
The room speaks of old Parisian wealth. A marble fireplace glows with dying embers to the left, casting warm orange light across the bare skin and the polished floor. Heavy velvet curtains in deep burgundy frame the armchair. A small side table holds a crystal decanter and a leather-bound book. A vintage table lamp casts amber pools of light from the right. The Persian rug beneath the chair anchors the composition in texture and warmth.
The painting is built on contrasts: dressed and undressed, upright and kneeling, stillness and need, the formality of his suit against the vulnerability of their skin, the permanence of the room against the impermanence of the moment. The silence is not peaceful but tense, the held breath of two women who know that when he stands, this world closes.

The artwork explores themes such as masculine presence, feminine vulnerability, the dynamics of devotion and authority, the intimacy of surrender, silence as emotional architecture, the beauty of skin in firelight, and the quiet devastation of borrowed time.

T. Pimenta is a Portuguese artist whose commitment to creating visually striking artworks seeks to develop pieces capable of establishing visual presence and emotional connection with viewers and collectors.
The creative process begins with an initial conceptual construction, where the central narrative and emotional direction of the composition are defined. Subsequently, the artistic vision is developed through Adobe tools, digital construction processes and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), adding depth, texture, light and structural refinement.
His approach combines traditional artistic sensibilities with contemporary digital techniques, allowing the exploration of different visual languages and the continuous expansion of creative possibilities.

Each artwork additionally receives a manual finishing intervention through an individual hand-applied artistic varnishing process, designed to reinforce luminosity, visual depth and material presence.
