Universal Watch monopusher chronograph with a manual-wind movement, a 38 mm cromed case, white dial, and leather strap, in good condition with visible wear; shipped insured with no original box, papers, or warranty.
Description from the seller
For sale from my private collection.
Rare and imposing monopusher chronograph Universal Watch (historic brand predating Universal Genève) dating to the early 1920s, characterized by an oversized 39 mm case and a chronograph pusher at 6 o’clock integrated into the lug bridge.
CONDITIONS MECHANICAL AND TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE:
The watch has been completely dismantled, cleaned and serviced by a specialized watchmaker (detailed photos of the disassembled movement available in the gallery).
Caliber: In-house with column-wheel chronograph arrangement, ultra-precise regulating organ featuring a bi-metallic balance with compensating weights and a blue-steel hairspring with Breguet overcoil.
Chronometer data: Running accuracy +5 s/day, exceptional amplitude of 307°, beat error 1.8 ms. The chronograph function is perfectly actuating, operable and resets with a precise snap.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Case: 39 mm (excluding crown), flush lugs. Shows the original marked patina of time with wear/pitting of the chrome plating of the era, as highlighted in the photos.
Dial: Original enamel/porcelain in perfect condition, free of cracks or crazing. Double scale with central snail tachymeter dial and red outer telemeter.
Hands: Apple-shaped (Breguet) hands in original blued steel.
Pusher: Monopusher positioned at 6 o’clock.
A piece for a high-end collection for enthusiasts of grand chronographs from the early 1900s. Private sale with “as seen and described” terms in the conditions described and photographed. Tracked and insured shipping.
