Mirror - Wood - Cusqueño mirror

Baroque/colonial-style wall mirror, with a hand-carved wooden frame gilded with gold leaf. The outer edge features a striking sunburst-shaped finish, carved in great detail, while the inner frame combines bevel-edged mirror panels with a moulding of repeated oval motifs, also gilded.

The central moon is made of mirrored glass. The piece preserves the aged golden color characteristic of this type of item, with light signs of wear from the passage of time, visible in some areas of the gilding and in some areas of the glass (see photos).
