Olivia Baeza's original contemporary acrylic painting titled CABALLITO DE SOL - XXL - NO Reserve, hand-signed, 180 cm high by 50 cm wide, created in 2026, in excellent condition, from Spain, delivered unstretched and unframed with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Intense yellow and orange, full of life, Caballito de sol (Sun Seahorse) represents the search for a chosen bond to stay. It sails the ocean in search of a partner with whom to share something more than a fling: a monogamous and lasting relationship.
This work is also a reflection on parenthood and caregiving roles. In this species, the males receive the eggs in their incubating pouch and are responsible for protecting and gestating them until birth.
The piece has a twin painting, featuring another seahorse. Both were conceived as two parts that seek each other and complement one another, forming part of the same story. However, each canvas is sold independently and functions as a standalone work. The possibility of reuniting them adds a second reading: two beings seeking each other in the same ocean, but that can also exist separately.
Thus, Caballito de fuego becomes a symbol of love, commitment, parenthood, and the search for a lasting bond. A small fire creature that speaks to the need to find someone with whom to share life, without ceasing to be oneself.
Technique: acrylic painting on canvas.
The work is in perfect condition.
The marked dimensions are those of the painting when stretched and mounted on the stretcher. The actual canvas dimensions are larger to enable its mounting.
The work is delivered without a frame (professional packaging, rolled in a tube). Your local framer must restretch it and mount it on a frame.
Hand-signed. Includes certificate of authenticity.
