Polish contemporary metal sculpture titled Lady Butterfly by Grzegorz Pawłowski; a limited edition unsigned piece from 2026, measuring 47 cm wide, 71 cm high and 21 cm deep, created by hand forging, welding, flame colouring and lacquer finishing.
Description from the seller
Bust of a Woman - Lady Butterfly
A unique metal bust of a woman, created from several dozen hand-formed butterflies. The silhouette is mounted in an open metal framework reminiscent of a frame, which forms an integral part of the composition.
Each element was hand-formed, fitted, and joined by welding. The distinctive surface color was achieved through controlled application of fire and high heat, giving the metal natural, unique patina and depth. The piece has been protected with a clear protective varnish.
The combination of the delicate butterfly motif with the rawness of metal gives the sculpture a distinctive, contemporary character. Visible traces of manual work and welding emphasize its authenticity and uniqueness.
The sculpture was handmade in the Custom Art Garage studio by Polish artist and founder of the studio Grzegorz Pawłowski. His works are in private collections around the world—from the USA, across Europe, to Singapore and Australia.
Technique: hand-forming, welding, flame coloring, varnishing
