I find it totally fascinating how light streams into a room and everything it touches is transformed for a brief moment. This sunlight seems almost magical – it lifts even the most everyday things to a special level. These transitional spaces, where light and shadow play, are at once tangible and yet like from memory. For me, they are also a perfect occasion to experiment with color.
Thus a kind of palimpsest is created—a surface that tells its own story, because you can still see the traces of its creation. It is precisely this tension between transience and permanence that makes my work so exciting to me.
