Juvenia – Swiss mechanical Art Deco rectangular wristwatch
Beautiful antique Juvenia wristwatch, Art Deco style, likely dating from the 1930s–1940s.
The watch features an elegant rectangular case with linestypical Art Deco, with a strongly patinated golden dial, large Arabic numerals and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock.
The dial bears the inscriptions:
JUVENIA
FAB. SUISSE
The case has a hallmark on the edge which corresponds to a French eagle head hallmark, indicating a 18-karat gold (750/1000) case.
The case back also bears the number 21373.
Condition
Antique watch showing a beautiful original patina and signs of wear commensurate with its age.
The gold case shows notable variations and visible wear marks. The dial is heavily patinated but remains legible and retains its Art Deco character.
The leather strap is old and worn and may be replaced according to the buyer’s preferences.
Movement
Manual-winding mechanical movement.
The movement has not been examined in detail and no recent service is known. The operation and accuracy are therefore not guaranteed but it does run, with seconds and minutes advancing.
