Modernist Sculptural Vase "Val Saint Lambert". Circa 1950/60.
Important vase molded in thick artistic lead crystal, hand-blown, from the prestigious Belgian manufactory Val Saint Lambert. Stout body with an organic, free form, ornamented with deep depressions and concavities ("sommerso" / freehand modeling technique), culminated in a prominent wavy and notched upper rim. Splendid and dense amethyst/purple tone that creates chromatic reflections varying with the incidence of light.
Signed on the base, diamond-point engraved "Val St Lambert" accompanied by the master/line signature "E. Maréchal". Retains the original circular circular brand sticker on the front face of the body.
Excellent condition, with no flaws or scratches (minimal signs of friction on the supporting base, normal for age).
