Unsigned, 19th-century maritime painting, in the circle of Andreas Schelfhout, with an atmospheric portrayal of an harbor mouth featuring a paddle steamer and sailing ships. The rough sea, dramatic cloudscape, and the subtle light are characteristic of Dutch maritime painting from the 19th century.

Oil on canvas, re-lined. Dimensions: H 36 x W 43 cm. The work has an older restoration and is in reasonable condition.

Olieverf op linnen, gedoubleerd. Afmeting: H 36 x B 43 cm. Het werk heeft een oudere restauratie en verkeert in redelijke staat.
