The artist Lucia Mignosa, aka Luminisa,
during the classical studies that the 60s demanded, thanks to the imaginative teachings of a history of art professor, I knew and fell in love with that colorful world of beauty to which I have remained faithful and fascinated for life. But only subsequently, finding by chance in my hands a creative magazine from the era, lived as a window into the artistic world, following their guide, I began creating objects to admire, spanning from art, to fashion, to small objects, in the perpetual search and attempt to express with art enthusiasm and joy as an anthem to life. The explosion of pleasure in creation, experimentation, and perseverance in seeking the maximum expression of beauty pushed me, despite family and work commitments and the difficulties the 70s promised to a woman, to attend the studies of renowned Sicilian artists of the era, to learn as much technique and experience as possible, without ever losing that single weekly appointment that had me travel 70 km to reach him. And it is by allowing myself to be inspired and carried by their excellence that I refine my views and perfect the technique, reaching my expressive splendor in Luminisa, the art name, of a life dedicated to the playful world of cheer, freshness, and luminosity that culminates in the extreme representation of water games and bodies suspended in time in a playful preamble to cheer. A sensibility that today I express in painting, sculpture, and engravings, which have a very precise purpose: to translate into wide visions of play and moments of meditation and ecstasy a meaningful reality that has always dwelt within me.. Bold, bright tones, gym equipment, rings in water promote the concept of my emotions, carriers of a conspiratorial and artistic fun of my eternal serene mood..
Selected for two consecutive years by the Luxemburg Art Prize for artistic merit (2024-2025),
Past works are part of Arianna Sartori's Collection and are included in the 2017 catalog Arte Moderna e Contemporanea by Anna Sartori and in the Museo delle Cappuccine in Bagnacavallo (Italy),
Signum collective in Troina with several works presented, International exhibition talents.
Personal bibliography with a work, published by Arianna Sartori in the book La Bicicletta.
