The Long Goodbye - Hand-signed, a 2022 limited edition giclée print on canvas by LeYack, 40 x 40 cm, signed by the artist with a certificate of authenticity, sold direct from France, depicting a neo-realist portrait of a woman in a diner.
Description from the seller
American night behind the window of a diner. Seated on a maroon leatherette banquette, a blonde woman with a high bouffant, a black V-neck dress, a row of pearls and nacreous earrings, rests her chin on her folded fingers, her gaze directed to the right, outside the frame. In front of her, on the amber Formica, two chrome salt shakers and a napkin dispenser; behind the glass, the chrome rear of a light-colored sedan with round taillights, the deserted roadway, a lit streetlamp, and the green storefront window of a shop where two silhouettes pass. Semiotically, the window organizes two interlocked solitudes — the woman alone in warm light, the empty city in the night blue — and the vast emptiness of the table speaks of waiting better than any place setting. Smooth finish, cinematic tension inherited from Hopper, tones of garnet, amber and deep blue.
Characteristics of the work:

About the artist:
LeYack (born 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
