A rare out-of-print reference work written by Camille Cerfon and originally published in 1885.
This book is a historical technical work devoted to subterranean hound hunting (digging-out), primarily focused on the pursuit of foxes and badgers with terrier dogs.
It contains 53 wood engravings inserted in the text, drawn by the famous veterinarian and animal illustrator Pierre Mégnin (whose signature appears in the bottom left of the fox illustration).
Soft cover in used condition, edge of the front board worn, scattered foxing.
