The book is opulently illustrated with 16 full-page colour plates, including a frontispiece, capturing Pogany’s signature dense, fairy-tale aesthetic and distinctive colour palette. Published undated by Hutchinson & Co., London, this edition is generally attributed to circa 1908. It features a premium binding with top edge gilt and an elegant coloured design stamped on the front board.

Condition Report:
Overall Condition: Very Good / Fairly Clean.
Binding & Cover: Original cloth shows some handling marks and rubbing to the edges. Corners are slightly bumped. There are minor splits to the cloth at the edges and ends of the spine. Gilt spine lettering and front cover design remain visible. Binding remains firm and tight.
Interior & Pages: Generally clean text block. There are minor foxing spots on the title page and the rear of the frontispiece plate, with some occasional minor spots to page margins.
Plates: All 16 colour plates are present, remaining fairly clean, bright, and well-preserved.
