Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools, currently living and working in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company devoted to the sale, representation and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her business vision with a deep artistic sensibility.
This young Cuban talent has established herself in the digital art scene, using contemporary means to explore themes tied to nature, landscape and the intimate relationship between woman and her environment. Her works address with subtlety and strong visual impact topics such as beauty, love, sensuality and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic and refined atmospheres.

This work presents Jesus Christ as if created or restored following the philosophy of Kintsugi, a Japanese technique that celebrates the beauty of fragility. The image is not a realistic representation of flesh and bone, but a structure of fine porcelain, where the inevitable fracture lines — suggested by the intricate network of cracks along his face, neck and garments — are meticulously filled with liquid gold. Rather than concealing these marks of breakage, the artist makes them the central element of his iconography, transforming the pain of the Passion and the crucifixion into a network of golden veins that enhances his divinity and resilience.
