Description
Decorative and characterful Asian side table, finished in dark wood and surrounded by richly hand-carved ornamentation.
Particularly attractive is the openwork/incised decoration of the rails and corners. At the front, centrally a bird is depicted among stylized wing and floral motifs. The corners are also extensively carved and blend beautifully into the elegant, slightly curved legs with slender feet.
The dark top contrasts nicely with the warmer brown/orange tones of the carving and the dark highlighted lines. This makes the relief stand out particularly well.
This table originally formed part of a larger, artisan-crafted furniture ensemble.
Other accompanying carved furniture panels are offered separately as “carved panels Asia”
