San Polo Venice Italian Ceramic Vase – Model 3747

Elegant and sculptural ceramic vase by the renowned Manifattura Ceramiche San Polo of Venice, Italy.
The vase has a classic amphora-inspired form with a gently flared rim, a softly rounded shoulder, a full mid-section, and a slightly tapered foot. The entire surface is covered in continuous horizontal ridges (ribbing) that catch the light beautifully, finished in a deep black / near-black glossy glaze that gives the piece a rich, almost volcanic appearance.

Hand-marked on the underside “San Polo” together with the identification number 3747.
San Polo (founded 1947 in Campo San Polo, Venice by Riccardo Mason) was one of the important post-war Venetian ceramic workshops, known for both decorative and more sculptural pieces. Many of their works carry model or series numbers of this type.

The vase is offered in good overall condition consistent with age.
