Gypsy girl with a jug, oil on canvas by Francisco Benítez Perea (Morón, Seville, Spain. 1940-2008). A descendant and prominent painter of the Seville school in the second half of the 20th century alongside Monedero, Ressendi, Manuel Flores, A. Rodrigues Almanza... and founder of the Morón de la Frontera School of Painting, Seville.
He was a distinguished painter with works spanning several periods and styles: magical realism, realist genre scenes, social denunciation.... Painter representative of the Golden Era of Flamenco in Morón from 1960-1970 through his Andalusian avant-garde, major precursor of the style of Antonio Adelardo García. He has various awards and national and international exhibitions. This work belongs to the traditional realist series, a style he practiced after returning from Catalonia to his hometown for the national decorative market during the late 1970s.
