Description from the seller

A Bohemian white opaline glass tazza bowl dating to the late 19th century, circa 1880–1900. The piece is hand blown and features hand-applied gilded decoration in a repeating pattern of vines and hoops across the bowl, a motif characteristic of the Bohemian decorative glass industry of this period. The form is a classic tazza — a shallow footed bowl on a pedestal foot — and the dense, milky white opaline glass body provides an opaque ground that contrasts with the gilt ornament. Bohemian opaline glass of this type was produced for the Central European luxury market and widely exported across Europe. Condition is Very Good: the gilding shows very light surface wear consistent with age and careful use. No repairs or restorations noted. Buyers are encouraged to review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the condition record.
